In our neck of the woods there is a lot of smoke out there due to wildfires. The smoke brings gasses and fine particles that can be irritants to our health. Especially for those that have heart or lung conditions. For our patients, specifically those with asthma, these fine particles can enter into their lungs and cause an asthma flare.
What You Should Do
It is really important that you are staying indoors as much as you can, avoiding those heavy exercise type activities outdoors that might also exacerbate your asthma or your chronic health condition and changing the filters inside your house so that the air stays clean indoor. Also, keep your medicine stocked up, you will want to make sure you have what you need in case an asthma flare occurs.
How We Can Help
Now, if you are not sure of what you should be taking then give us a call. We can do a telehealth or in-person visit, we can discuss your chronic health condition and decide on what you should have stocked up at this time.
